The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has rolled out a game-changing update for subscribers withdrawing PF online. The process is now faster and more convenient:

✅ No More Cheque or Passbook Uploads Members no longer need to upload a cancelled cheque or passbook when filing online PF claims—provided the bank account is already verified during UAN seeding.

✅ Employer Approval Not Required EPFO has removed the need for employer verification post-bank verification for bank account seeding. This streamlines the process significantly.

📊 Impact So Far: Since the pilot in May 2024, 17 million EPFO members have already benefited from this hassle-free withdrawal process.

🔁 Simplified Bank Account Updates: Members can now update or change their bank account details by simply entering the new account number and IFSC, then verifying via Aadhaar OTP—no employer confirmation needed.

📌 Of the 77.4 million active contributors, 48.3 million have already completed bank account seeding. Around 149,000 pending approval requests are being eliminated under this update.
